Mr. Pagnotti’s Classroom Rules (The 5 P’s)
Prompt – Be on time, enter the classroom quietly, immediately go to your assigned seat and have your homework out and on your desk.
Prepared- Bring all materials, necessary work, and uniform to class every day. I will not send students back to their lockers for anything.
Productive- MAXIMIZE learning time by staying on task, following directions, and remaining seated unless given permission to do so.
Polite- Be nice or neutral to everyone. Swearing, teasing, talking back or bullying will not be tolerated.
Patient- Wait respectively and calmly for your turn. Do not whine or complain if you were not called on. Listen while others are speaking.
We will continue our transition into the Common Core state standards, which should be beneficial to all students. We will be covering a number of similar topics from years past but we will be going more in-depth with our Mathematical thinking this year. In addition to teaching Math, I will have one period of English. I hope to enhance your child’s understanding of the language but also improve their writing skills. By the end of the year, I expect to have your child best prepared for 7th grade.
